Sync

The sync process uploads your survey data from local device to eRaay server. You can keep taking interviews one after another and sync them later at any point of time. The sync module shows a list of surveys where submitted or partially saved interviews are available.

Once you select a particular survey, you will see all the submitted and partially saved interviews. You will see interviews with any of the following two status values:

Ready to Submit Interviews

Ready to Submit interviews can either be synced, transferred or deleted. Please know that the deleted interviews cannot be restored.

Partially Saved Interviews

Partially saved interviews can be edited and submitted or deleted. Please know that the deleted interviews cannot be restored.



Sync Process

  1. Surveys that have been submitted offline are available for the Sync process. You can either select some of them or all of them and tap on “SYNC NOW” button to start the syncing process.
  2. The sync process requires an active internet connection to complete the process.
  3. While the sync process is going on, please do not interrupt the process by any means. When there are media files (photo/ audio/ video) the sync process takes time depending on their size and volume.
  4. You will get a success/failure message after the sync process is done. After the sync process is done, the local data is cleared out for successful cases and others are retained in the local device which you can try to sync again.

Transfer Process

The setting ”Allow transfer of interviews to Supervisor’s device” should be turned on if Transfer of survey is requested by the client.

By default this setting is set to “No”

When this setting is set to “Yes”

  1. Transfer Survey button shows in the sync screen
  2. Only Ready to Submit surveys can be transferred.
  3. Transferred surveys will not show in the list of surveys to be synced.
  4. Admin will assign the transferred survey to the Supervisor.
    You can refer to the Transfer CAPI Interview screen under eRaay Client Dashboard > Quality Check > Transfer CAPI Interview
  5. On Login to the App, the transferred survey will show in the Sync screen of the Field User Supervisor. He can delete the survey or edit and sync the survey.
